Girls protest on naming Swat college ‘Malala College’

There is heavy criticism on Malala Yousufzai, her father, Zardari regime, international and Pakistani media on #MalalaAttack episode, if you happen to be a Pakistan and use social media websites Facebook and Twitter. The situation on ground is very different on Malala Yousufzai and even the residents of Swat believe the story to be a concocted one. Moreover, there seems to be a trust deficit on Pakistani media’s reporting and it’s pandering the international media’s line.

Images like this tell a different story than reported on media. Girls from the Malala’s college/school protested on naming the college Malala College as they objected that her views were more ‘Western’ on beard and veil and were borderline offensive for majority traditional people of Swat and rest of the Pakistan. Girls threw ink on the new ‘Malala College’ name, tore down the board and went on strike giving a deadline of 3 days to change the name back.
